sexuality, her main specialty area. She has an eclectic
mix of academic and clinical experiences which includes

teaching, and clinical/psych administration. She has worked
in a variety of settings including community mental health
centers, college campuses, non-profit organizations, In-patient/Out-patient
medical and Psych facilities, and crisis hotlines. In
2006, she started her private practice under the supervision
of Dr. Robert B. Jaffe. In addition she has also developed
a coaching practice where she helps people in all walks
of life.
She holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and
is also an artist (http://members.aol.com/shahrzady/)
specializing in oil paintings. She has participated in
art shows locally, and her art work has been published
in both national and international magazines. Her diverse
clinical, academic, professional, and artistic experiences
and studies have given her the highest quality clinical
skills for problem solving and personal growth. In addition,
she has worked with diverse ethnic groups, and has developed
a high level of awareness of the need for greater understanding
between people of all cultures and backgrounds. One of
her prime interests is in the treatment of dysfunctional
female sexual problems.
Having come from a Persian background, she is especially
aware of the prejudice and power inequalities between
men and women. These issues often lead to feelings of
depression, anxiety, and addictions of all kinds, especially,
eating disorders. She is highly motivated to help people
to resolve these issues, and in the process raise their
self-esteem.
She
believes that when one’s feelings of self-worth increase,
this creates a higher quality of life for both the individual
and for the countless others that this person’s life will
touch. For more information or to schedule an appointment
